Development of Critical Thinking in Higher Education: Methods and Approaches (Implementation of the Bologna Declaration)
On Sept. 22-25, 2005, the International Conference Development of Critical Thinking in Higher Education: Methods and Approaches (Implementation of the Bologna Declaration) took place right outside Moscow. More than 80 participants from 14 countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United States of America, Uzbekistan) got together to discuss important issues and share innovative experience in higher education.
Participants offered their reports and presentations during the work of the following sections:
- Opportunities of the RWCT technology for the development of student's personality
- Critical thinking as a tool of the educator's professional and personal development
- Methodological aspects of RWCT technology application
- Critical thinking philosophy
- Practices of RWCT application in various disciplines
